Hello, Ms. Anne Sliter - I accepted the friend request, but am not sure
who you are!!! However, anybody on this network is more than likely
going to be an excellent friend! Hope you are doing well.......
Although I just joined, I'm meeting with Sheila Lee tomorrow to show her how to play Cupid shuffle, Cha Cha slide and Pants on the Ground in exchange for her letting me play her Roland.
Dear Ann! Thank you so much for being my friend! I usually get paid to quit, so it is delightful to see someone much more accomplished on the stomach grand!
Do keep up the thread!
Hi, Anne. I'm not sure I've met you, but if you play accordion I will be your friend! I know Shiela Lee anyway. I don't actually play accordion - I play bass, banjo, guitar or ukelele in an accordion band - depends on what's needed for each song. My brother Mike Sullivan, a great accordionist, and I started out just us two - but the band expanded to 3 accordions and a lot of other sometimes players.
I am slow doing this some times, but I would be glad to have you as a friend, all my others my age are dieing off ! I am about the only one left of my old group that still gets out there--- I need a little bit of Granny's Remeutisim Medicine to get me started, but I still love to hear the music ! Robert Andrews Smiley on Face Book too.
Hope ur doing fine ..and I just started learning 2 play accordion by myself gonna take class's at a local church ..again we learn something new every day God Bless you
Thank you for the invite as a friend, its my pleasure. Greetings from across the pond from the Celtic isle of Ireland where its raining "of course" and rather cold.
While browsing through the various comments I came across a link to Tap Dancing. In the UK and Ireland we call it Clogging, here is a link to some Clog Dancing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtESUuA2gTc
Thanks Anne for the friend invite. I am very impressed with this site. I really get a kick out of watching Shelia's videos. I am relatively new to the accordion. I am loving it so far.

Wish you could make it to West this weekend. Would like to meet you and your friends. Why don't you get a bunch of you together and take a road trip ... we have free food, free friends, free music, etc. And, bring some of your other musician friends ... we don't limit the activities to accordions. I have a couple of guitar/banjo buddies I play with regularly coming by. We just have fun and meet new folks!

Hello Anne,

I am a learner and love the Scottish style of Jimmy Shand (RIP). My all-time favourites are http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3hAtxZXNrA
In this video Jimmy Shand is 86 years old. This next one is also very nice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLFtQJI0RdQ
Kind regards from County Clare in Ireland.

Hello all,

In Ireland Clog Dancing is non existent but what has evolved is what we call Tap Dancing (NOT Riverdance style) but actual Irish Tap Dancing.
Cheers
