I performed with Alvaro Gomez playing the beautiful violin part for John William’s arrangement of Por una Cabeza (Tango from Schindler’s List and Scent of a Woman).

The lady concertmaster is a virtuoso violinist too – Routa Kroumovitch Gomez – yes they are married! They are originally from Chili and both studied with David Oistrach at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow. They currently live in Florida. The director was Robert Franz – who is the Associate Conductor for - of all places – the Houston Symphony.
