Event Description

GRACE LUTHERAN BAZAAR THIS SUNDAY

The members of Grace Lutheran Church of Smithville invite the public to their annual bazaar this Sunday, Sept. 19, at the Dr. George M. Jones VFW Post 1309 grounds at 557 Loop 230 N in Smithville.

The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a worship service on the VFW grounds featuring the “Accordian Cowboy” Chris Rybak. Chris is one of the most popular accordion entertainers in Texas and has taken his ...talents across the United States as well as to the Czech Republic, Germany and Slovakia – the homeland of his wife Edita. Chris will continue to provide entertainment after the service until 12:30 p.m.

A delicious barbecue lunch of beef and pork accompanied by homemade noodles and all the trimmings, will be served at 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The cost for lunch is $7 for adults and $5 for kids.

The event will also include a raffle, cake wheel, general store and free games for the kids. Stick around for the live auction starting at 1 p.m. featuring items such as livestock, antiques, quilts and a selection of handmade items.

For more information about this family event, call event chairpersons Jim and Mary Ann Duty at (512) 581-2040.
