2st Annual Accordion Competition and JamFest

To be held at National Accordion Convention - Dallas

3 Categories - Cajun/Zydeco - Tex/Mex/Button - Piano Keyboard

Accordion Competition by Category by AGE:

Compete BY AGE!!!  Even Over 61. Compete against the perfect score of 100 with 10 points added for difficulty. No need to memorize, no music given to judges. One selection to be performed in a 5 min. time limit. EVERYONE will win a  medal. $10 Entry

ALSO - Special in Dallas - Open Polka and Open Pop/Jazz. $10 Entry

JamFest Top Category

By Category (Cajun/Zydeco - Button - Keyboard) - 3 age brackets: Youth - 13 & Under, 14 to HS Senior, and Master - 18 & Up

$25 Entry Fee. Top 3 Winners in EACH CATEGORY will receive a trophy - and the top 2 Scores will receive a FREE Roland Fr18, or Fr1x, or Hohner Corona II (top picks first)

Each contestant will be expected to perform multiple songs per round - until a winner in each category is selected. Expect min. 2 rounds. Styles of songs will vary based on category.

We'll see when it's closer.  Doug may be worn out from Wurstfest. ;)  I assume since it's called JamFest there will be jamming also that would include other instruments.

All the fun accordion things are always so far away. How about somewhere toward San Antonio/Austin? Like somewhere along I-10.
